Show NEVADA SILVER AND GOLD PRODUCTION Gold and silver production from Nevada Ne-vada mines in 1911 was increased over the output of 1910, according to V. C. Helkea of the United States geological survey. The production of or1 Increased from over 3,500,000 tons m 1910 to nearly 4,500,000 tons, largely from the Gold-Held Gold-Held district. Esmeralda county, and from Humboldt. Nye and White Pino counties. About 512,500,000 lu gold was produced lu Esmeralda county, exceeding the. output out-put of 1910 03- over 5500,000. The Gold-field Gold-field mines yielded the larger pari, but a considerable amount came from Silver Peak. At Tonopah, Manhattan and Johnnie, in Nyo county, the output of gold from deep mines was appreciably greater than in 1910. Placer mines at Manhattan and Round Mountain wore also active. Silver bullion was produced In larger quantity at Tonopah in 1911, especially that contained In ore of shipping grade, but the amount of silver-bearing concentrate con-centrate may have boen less owing to the adoption of the straight cyanide treatmont. The gross value of the silver and gold output of Nyo County was about 5750,000 more than in 1910. According to preliminary figures compiled com-piled by the director of the mint, Nevada Ne-vada produced In 11U1 ?1S,96S,57S In gld and 10.G51.571 fine ounces of silver, valued at S5.S58.3fi4. against Jl?,873,70O in gold and 12,3Se.O00 ounces of silver, valued at ?G,G77,G0O, in 1910. |
