The operation system is called Standard Automated Remote Autodin Host, or SARAH, and the wing is the first tenant unit in the Air Force Reserve to manage its message traffic. SARAH is the new communications system located in the 419th headquarters building, which makes for quicker handling of official messages generated within the wing and receipt of message traffic Air Force-wid"SARAH came on line in early July, and in that first month about 750 messages were received. Headquartered at Kelly AFB, Texas, AFIC integrates the missions and people formerly assigned to ESC; the Foreign Technology Division at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio; and the Air Force Special Activities Center at Fort Belvoir, Va. Several elements of the Air Force Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C., combined forces with AFIC. The new command provides direct intelligence support to Air Force joint and allied commanders, as well as U.S. national agencies. At present the command is composed of 17,000 people worldwide.
