Tbe house committee com-mittee on elections, by a party vote of 7 to 4, agreed that Wiggington, dem-orat, dem-orat, was entitled to a seat from California, Cali-fornia, and that Pacheco, sitting member, was not. The majority will submit their report en Wednesday. Following is the vote: For Wigging-ton Wigging-ton Harris, Springer, Candler, Tur-ney, Tur-ney, Cobb, Williams and Ellis; for Pacheco Wait, Thornburgb, Price and Hiscock. CHINESE IMMIGRATION, The buse committee on education and labor, to-day, heard further arguments argu-ments on the Chinese question. Reprpt-entatives Lu It re 11 and Davis of Caliloinia, and Wren of Nevada were the speakers. AH were in favor of the restriction of Mongolian immigration. |
