Show QUAY'S CASE. Hearing Will bo Had and Concluded, Saturday, Sat-urday, December 16tn. Washington, Dec. 9. The senate committee on privileges and elections have arranged the preliminaries for the consideration of the protests against Senators Quay, Clark and Scott. In the Quay case it was decided to hear counsel on Saturday, the 16th inst., and that the hearing should be concluded on that date. Only legal questions are involved in the case and no witnesses will be heard. The preliminary preparation for the Clark and Scott eases was placed in the hands of Senators Chandler and Pettus. They were authorizrd to decide de-cide for the committee what persons should be summoned, and when they should be heard. |
