Show FFA Honors Residents With Farmer Awards At the FFA fathers and son banquet last Saturday evening three men of the community were presented with honorary chapter farmer awards, it is announced an-nounced by officers of the group. Honored were J. Harold Mitch, ell for the Interest and cooperation coopera-tion he has shown to the work and activities of the chapter; Frank Whitney, who is the father of three chapter presidents, Kent, Boyd and now Clinton Whitney; and Thales Brown, chapter advisor, ad-visor, for his interest In the or-gani.at;on. or-gani.at;on. Special speaker at the banquet .was Amasa Stones, who in a brief talk gave very good and timely advice to the members. Chapter activities for next week wi:' be the Initiation of the second year students in agriculture agricul-ture Into the chapter. Next Tuesday Tues-day members of the chapter will ' go to Fillmore to participate in the area speech and activity contest con-test Mr. Brown states. Glade Holyoak will participate in the public speaking contest and Blaine Hyatt, who Is the local candidate for state farmer honors hon-ors will take tests and make his application for that award. |
