Show POPPY POSTER CONTEST WINNERS ARE ANNOUNCED Concluding the most successful success-ful Poppy poster contest ever conducted in Bingham district, cash awards were made to all winners Wednesday in school assemblies as-semblies by the American Legion auxiliary, post No. 30, committee. Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen was chairman, assisted by Mrs. D. J. Sullivan, Mrs. Mike F. Brisk and Mrs. C. A. Morley. . More entrants than ever before and of outstanding quality were noted this year; Mrs. Knudsen said. The winner of first place at Bingham high school, Miss Catherine Cath-erine Dimas, also won first at the school last year and in the Utah denartment of American Leeion auxiliary contest at the annual convention last summer. The American Legion auxiliary announced sponsorship of two boys at Boys' State in the Jordan Narrows at Camp W. G. Williams to be held this summer. Russell Loveless and Blake- Gammell, both of Copperton, were told of the award at an assembly at the school Wednesday. o |
