On the eve of Feb. 23rd, Mr. and Mrs. E. Cheney entertained thirty-five thirty-five of their friends at a house party. The evening was spent in games at d music, most of which was rendered by Mr. Cheney and sons and was much appreciated by the guests. A dainty luncheon was served. Tl4 play, "Followed by Fate," Which was given by the Mutuals w; s 80 well received that it was repeated on Monday evening. The proceeds go for the piano. The Senior Mutual girls meet every Tuesday and spend the time in needle Work which tney are preparing for the bazar. They were enteriained last week by Miss Mary Sundvvall ana this week by Miss Mima Nor man. Music and refreshments were a part of the program. Monday evening, Feb. 24, Mrs. Mary Nelson, wife of France N. lson departed from this life. She had given birth to an infant a few days before which only lived a shrt time. She was 40 years old and was know n as a loving wife and motner. She leaves a family of nine children snd many relatives to mourn her loss. She has had poor h. alth for a mm-ber mm-ber of years. Funeral services were held on Thursday. Mrs. Kesiah Cheney of Idaho is visiting relatives in Fairview. Mr. A. A. Johnson and family will go to Salt Lake this wek to reside. Mr. Johnson has charge of one department de-partment in Dinnwoody's furniture .store. .Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hall and family and Mrs. Eivira Reese of Wales visited friends and relatives here last week. Dan Briggs who has been w rk-Sngin rk-Sngin Ogden for the pas; year came ihome for a visit this week. Orson Cox who is employed at Gar field spent last week at home. Mr3. Verni.' Ruel Bench is also confined to his bed with rheumatism. Eighteen inches of snow fell in Fairview this week. It makes the ; farmers all smile. |
