At Orem they attended attend-ed the wed J' of Ronald Singleton, Single-ton, former Milford resident, and enjoyed trips to scenic points near r..t Lake. MR. AND MRS. WARREN i GILLIES announce the engagement engage-ment of their daughter, Hannah Rae, to Mr. Donald M. Stubbs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Stubhs I of Parowan. No date has been set for the j wedding. j MR. AND MRS. ELMO WHITE of Corn-ton, Calif., announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Brenda, to Mr. Monte Ray Hutchings, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hatchings of Beave:-. i The wedding will take place in1 Comptcm, July 25th, and will be followed by a reception. The newly weds will be honored "t "n open house, given by the bridegroom's parents, August 1 in the Beaver " First-Third Ward char el. Mr. and Mrs. Hutchings and family will attend the wedding in Compton. ATTEND FUNERAL Mr. and Mrs. Ross Smith, Mrs. Caroline Smith and Vic Smith drove to Santa Clara, Calif., last j week to attend funeral services for Peggy Smith Long's husband, which were 'held July 7. They were joined in Ely, Nev., hy Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Gilbert of Salt Lake. Mr. Long died Thursday, July 3, of a cerebral hemhiorhage. Surviving Sur-viving are his widow, a daughter of Mrs. Caroline Smith; four children chil-dren and one erandcihild. Mrs. Smith returned to Salt Lake with the Gilberts, for a visit with them. i IN A LOVELY double-ring ceremony cer-emony permormed in the foyer of the Beaver First-Third Ward Church July 9th, Mis? Connie Griffiths became the 'bride of Mr. Fred Berp-trom. Connie 's tho daughter- of Mr. and Mrs. Wood-row Wood-row Griffiths of Beaver, and Fred !s the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Bergatrom of Parowan. Birhc'i WUer Kerksiek officiated offici-ated at the ceremonv. in the presence pres-ence of family members. A reception the .same evening honored the newlyweds. Greeting the lane crowd of friends with the bride and groom were their parents. The bride was beautiful in a waltz-length gown of dainty lace fashioned with a full skirt and three tiers of scalloped lace, long pointed sleeves trimmed with buttons, but-tons, and tiny buttons from the neckline to waist in foaok of the bodice. The neckline repeated the scallops of lace. Her veil was of bride's illusion caught to a tiara of pearls. The bride's bouquet bou-quet was of red roses and the bridesmaids' nosegays were of white roses with red carnations. A musical program was enjoyed en-joyed and the wedding waltz was danced to "Melody of Love." 'Following, 'Fol-lowing, the guests viewed the many lovely gifts and were served refreshments. Also on display was a beautiful wedding cake decorated decorat-ed by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Thelma Griffiths. The young couple will make their home in Beaver. Out of town guests attending were the groom's parents, snd his sister Phebe, and Miss Afton Benson, Parowan; Mr. and Mrs. I Arjbon Hall and family, Mable Pet-1 Pet-1 rson and Darlene Williams, Mrs. Elretta Rosenburg and daughter Mayedene, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Rosenberg, Ros-enberg, Marv Bcrgstrom, Mamie Eck and Mr. and Mrs. Clair Carter, Car-ter, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Or-rin Or-rin Myers, Milford; and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Bartholomew, Fill-j Fill-j mere. |
