Jensen Jen-sen left on a dusiness trip to Lovell, Wyoming last week. Clarence Oldroyd came home from Payson, on account of an atlack of blood poison in his arm. I.Iary Coombs spent a few days in Nephi last week. Wallace and Earl Livingston returned re-turned home last week from Idaho for a short visit. -. Mr. and Mrs. Syndegaard are visit ing; at J. J. II. Jensens. The Big Springs Electric Company furnishes power for the new roller flour mill at Moroni, also for the pumping station that furnishes them with water for their water works system. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Cook and child ren and Peter Mayer, and family have moved to Provo for the winter, while their children attend the B. Y. U. The following attend High School at Moroni. Leah Christiansen, La-Verne La-Verne Holman, Luella Oldroyd, Jan-nie Jan-nie Longon, Cyrus Jensen, Joseph Christiansen, Ira Huggins, Russel Lund, Lenard and Ross Ivory, They are transported there and back each day. Luella Oldroyd was ill a few days last week, with an attack of append-citis, append-citis, but is feeling alright again. The Shuttle Club met at Vernon Anderson Monday night where they were entertained. Mary Peterson furnished piano music. A few pages of "Where Half the World is Waking Wak-ing Up" was read. Several kinds of refreshments were served and all enjoyed en-joyed the evening very much. J. F. Robertson and A. James Aagard went to Salt Lake last week in their automobiles, which were repaired while they were there. William Rowbury of Idaho, a former for-mer resident of this place, is visiting with his daughter Mrs. Thos. Hanson Han-son for a few days. Mrs. W. H. Adams of Pleasant Grove is visiting with her daughters Mrs. J. H. Robertson and Martha Lund. The county road officials are having hav-ing the road between Fountain Green and Birch Creek graded, which will be a great help to the transportation trans-portation of the Birch Creek students the district school here. Vernon Anderson has received a missionary call to the Eastern States. He will leave on Dec. 8th. Fountain Green is expecting an exciting basket ball game Friday night. The Mutual team consists of John T. Oldroyd, Parley Holman, Ray Kelson, Vernon and Andrew Anderson. They will play the Moroni Mor-oni team, Dance after the game. The water works system was completed com-pleted last June and is in very good condition. It was reported by Dr T. B. Beatty of the State Board of Health, that Fountain Green water works system was ideal in every respect. re-spect. The City Council have hired men and teams to repa,ir the streets, and put in culverts. 1 There are several here who owns dry farms on the divide, and it is reported re-ported that over 300 acres of dry wheat has been sowed. The grain is up and promises to be a good crop season, which will mean a great deal to Fountain Green farmers. The Brass Band has been reorgniz-ed reorgniz-ed as well as the choir, and a new interest has been created in both. The J. E. G. Club was entertained by Ida Anderson Monday night. The following members were present: Harriet and Mary Coombs, Amy Christiansen, Myrtle Anderson, Ivy Livingston, Marie Jensen and Ida Anderson. The evening was spent in sewing, games and having a jolly good time. Refreshments were served. |
