Tiffany Perrero, daughter of Jon and Glenys Perrero of Mapleton, will marry Tyler James Ashman, Ash-man, son of Dr. James D. Ashman of Orem and LaMon M. Ashman of Provo, on Thursday, July 18, 1991 in the Jordan River LDS Temple. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Springville Art Museum, 125 East 400 South, Springville. Matron of honor will be the bride's sister Shelly Relyea with Amber Perrero, Jami Ashman, Lisa Livingston, Angela Lyman, Kim Hammond and Jenny Clark as attendants. Bestman will be J. Todd Ashman. The bride-to-be graduated from Springville High School and attended Brigham Young University Univer-sity where she was a varsity cheerleader. Her fiance graduated from Timpvicw High School. He attended Utah Valley Community College and BYU and is currently a student at University of Louisville Dental School. He served an LDS mission in Hermosillo, Mexico. The couple will be returning to Louisville, KY to complete their education. Rebecca Revoir to marry Brandon Adams Alan Loy and Carol Ann Curtis of Springville are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Kimberly, to Lee John Buckwalter, son of Lee E. and Martha N. Buckwalter of Payson. They will be married Saturday, July 20, 1991 in Springville. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Springville 10th Ward Church, 355 East Center Street. Friends and relatives are invited. No formal invitations will be sent They will be attended by Clayton Coombs, best man, and Katy Curtis, maid-of-honorand sister of the bride. Grandparents of the young couple are Ken and Merle Curtis, Irvin L. and Evelyn Jacob-sen Jacob-sen of Springville, and Ivadell Nelson of Pleasant : Grove. , 9 ; The bride graduated from Springville High School and LDS Seminary. The prospective groom graduated from Payson High School and LDS Seminary, and served in the Washington D.C North Mission. He is in the Utah National Guard, and is currently employed at ProLitho. The couple will live in Payson. Kim Curtis to marry John Buckwalter Rebecca Lee Revoir, daughter of Lloyd E. and Shirlene Revoir of Mapleton, will marry Brandon G. Adams, son of Roxene Jorgenscn and Bruce W. Adams of Orem, on Saturday, July 20, 1991 at the Crystal Manor. A reception will be held for the newlyweds that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Crystal Manor, 80 West Cen'er in Springville. All friends and relatives rela-tives are ii.vitcd to attend. The Coiple will make their home in Orem. Doll collectors contest at Fair Doll collectors unite at the Utah Valley County Fair at the Spanish Fork County Fairgrounds August 14-17. Barbie dolls, bride dolls, Shirley Temple dolls and Kewpie dolls are a few of the classifications that will be displayed dis-played and judged for authenticity according to the doll department chairman Beverly Johnson. One doll may be entered in each of the 35 categories. The entry fee is 50 cents for each entry. "We want to share with others the discovery of treasured dolls from throughout the ages," said Johnson. Johnson is an expert on dolls. She has been collecting dolls for over 12 years and has about 1200 dolls of her own. Entry forms for the competition competi-tion may be obtained by calling the Fair Office at 224-3636 or in person at the Chamber, 777 S. State St., Orem. Entry forms must be received by August 9. Dolls will be received at the Fair on Monday, August 12 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. 'Pirates of Penzance' The Spanish Fork Community Theater will present the delightful Gilbert and Sullivan musical "Pirates "Pi-rates of Penzance" July 18, 19, 20, 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and July 24 at 4:30 p.m. The musical is part of the Fiesta Days Celebration. Tickets are available on a first-come basis at the door or in advance at Spanish Fork Floral with general admission $3.50 or $15 per family. Paul Biard of Mapleton plays the captain of the police and Jenny Oman, Mapleton is a daughter. Vi A Darol and Naomi Gardner Gardners celebrate The children and grandchildren of Darol L. and Naomi Sumsion Gardner honored their parents on their 50th Wedding Anniversary with a family dinner held at the Crystal Manor in Springville on July 12, 1991. The Gardners were married May 31, 1941 in Hcbcr City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. The couple lived in Gilroy, California until 1973, then retired and moved to Springville. Darol worked for several construction companies in Utah and was self-employed in California. He is a member of the Springville Kiwanis Club. Naomi is a graduate of Brigham Young University and taught in elementary schools in Utah and California. She has been affiliated with Delta Kappa Gamma and is a member of the California Retired Teachers Association. They both have been active in the LDS Church, serving in various leadership positions. Their children are Roxane Filice and Kathleen Peterson. They have six grandchildren and 'hrce great-grandchildren. Viola Long celebrates The family of Viola Mork Long will honor her at a family luncheon today in honor of her 92nd birthday. Mrs. Long was born July 17, 1899 in Mcrcur, Utah to Sorcn Mathias and Mary Alphine Christiansen Chris-tiansen Mork. She was raised on a farm on the Provo bench. She graduated from eighth grade in a one-room schoolhouse and attended at-tended one year of high school in Pleasant Grove. She helped on the family farm doing everything from raking, hauling and stacking hay, irrigating irrigat-ing the crops, picking fruit and tomatoes and picking watermelons to milking cows. She learned to milk at the age of six. Her father ran a milk route daily and many times she and her younger brother were up at 4:30 a.m. to hitch and harness the horses to go on the route. They picked up the farmer's cans of milk and cream and delivered them to a milkhouse on Geneva Road to be shipped to the Clover Leaf Dairy in Salt Lake. Many times they ran in back of the wagon to keep warm. Viola did houscworkand cooking cook-ing for many families in Salt Lake and Provo including the Senator Reed Smoot family. She married Alex Long September Sep-tember 14, 1921 in Provo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He died February 6, 1988. The first year of their marriage they lived with Alex's father taking tak-ing care of the farm after his father had a stroke. They moved to Bingham Canyon in 1922 where they owned and operated the Grill Cafe. In 1931 they moved to Springville where they bought a farm where they both worked harvesting crops. She taught Sunday School in the old First Ward Church and was a work leader in Relief Society Soci-ety under five presidents. She has crocheted many af-ghans, af-ghans, pillows and other things, giving each of her grandchildren some. She has done lols of machine ma-chine appliqucing, giving many articles to the Relief Society for their bazaars. She made all her own and her family's clothes. She still lives in her own home and takes care of herself with the help of a live-in BYU student. She wants to live to see the turn of the century. Viola and her husband had many foster children in their home and later took care of a disabled lady veteran for 12 years. They had four children, two of whom are living: Mrs. Leonard Dean (Dorothy) Johnson of Spanish Span-ish Fork and Mrs. Robert (Char-mian) (Char-mian) Taylor of Springville. Charles and Dale are deceased. She has 8 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She would love to visit with friends, relatives and neighbors late Wednesday, July 17, afternoon after-noon or early evening at her home, 492 South Canyon Drive. Pregnancy tests Free pregnancy tests are being offered weekly at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
