Don't fail to call at the Book Store and see the new books and Christmas goods. There came to be plenty of hay for sale, judging from the amount hauled into town. The Logan Meat Market is preparing for a grand Christmas display. Read their ad. Heaps of wood are pouring into Logan daily. Fuel commands a good price but is, nevertheless, welcome. There will be a performance given by the Providence Dramatic Company in Providence Hall this evening. The lady who has lost a fur tie can obtain the same by applying to Mrs. Lamoreaux at her millinery store. You will miss a treat if you do not attend the performance of "Jonathan Bradford" tomorrow (Saturday) night. How about the social hall and theatre that has been talked about for so long? Is there being nothing done? Riley Smith, the young man who was severely hurt at Smithfield, we are pleased to state is steadily improving. Arrangements are being made by the employees of the U.& N.R.R. for a grand ball and supper on New Year's Eve. The Sunday Schools of the First and 4th wards hold an exhibition in Logan Hall next Thursday evening on the 23es inst. M.D. Hammond's new residence in Providence is finished and on Saturday evening last the family had a house-warming. He reports all well in his ward, and the Y.M.M.I.A. in a very flourishing conditions. A very well written account of the proceedings of the Cache County Vocational Institute of its last meeting in Smithfield was received too late for this issue, but will appear next week. In this issue is given the cast of characters in each of the pieces to be played in Long Theatre during holiday week by the Brigham City Dramatic Association. We promise our citizens a rare treat in these performances. J.W. Hitchcock, dentist, would like, in accordance with good business principles, to have all accounts due him settled by the close of the year. He does not contemplate leaving Logan City, where he considers himself permanently located. On tomorrow (Saturday) evening, the 18th inst. Our home company will perform the thrilling drama entitled "Jonathan Bradford". From the cast of characters which appears elsewhere in this issue, we presume a good performance may be expected. And now comes an announcement extraordinary. Phil Margett, our old, genial, talented and laughter-provoking "Phil", has made an engagement with the Providence Dramatic Association to support him during a theatrical tour of this valley.
