Show New Home Agent for Section; Reed Moore Gets Wasatch Too as Summit. It looks like he will have a busy year. PLANS ARE UNDERWAY for a citizenship week in Washington, Washing-ton, D. C. for some of the young people in our area. The trip will be by bus with boys and girls from all over the state and will take two weeks. The cost will be $300 and will include food, lodging lodg-ing and side trips. They will also visit the 4-H building in Washington, Wash-ington, D.C. This should be a most interesting trip for an interested 4-Her. CLASSES ON SEWING knit and stretch fabrics will be starting in the Kamas and Coalville Coal-ville area. Meetings in Coalville are on Mondays and Kamas will meet on Wednesday for approximately ap-proximately six weeks. Park City will plan for one lateron City will plan for one later on if there is enough interest. ENROLLMENT TIME IS NOW. If you are not already enrolled get your club together now and get started. Reports from clubs on a year round basis have been excellent and said they seem to be progressing better than just in summer work. The sooner you enroll the sooner your material mat-erial will be sent out and also all other mailing of events to come. Get started now and you will be ready for leader's training classes already planned. plan-ned. Food training will be held in Heber City March 30-31; Clothing Cloth-ing in Salt Lake, April 24-25-26, Then there will also be local training schools later on in your own districts, Come on 4-Hers let's go! WE HAVE RECENTLY received re-ceived word that the 4-H Poster-Art program will be continued in 1972 with essentially essen-tially the same plan as last year. Purpose of the program is to give young people the opportunity opport-unity to express what 4-H is and does and that it is for all young people. Utah's quota is eight entries in the National program due in Washington, D.C. by April 1, 1972. Coats and Clark will provide pro-vide recognition for the ten best entries. Summit County will give prizes for the best entries in each district, then the top winners win-ners will be chosen from these for the winners in this county. Get on your thinking cap and see what you can come up with, who knows you maybe a national winner. win-ner. 4-H Council met Friday, January Jan-uary 14, at Wanship for a luncheon lunch-eon meeting. There are three new members mem-bers on the council, Mrs. Bissel from Woodland, Mr, Nay lor, Coalville and Diane Taylor, Home Agent. Plans were made for the year in 4-H, calendar of events, scholarships, planning leaders training schools and business in general. The National goal for enrollment in 4-H for the 70's is seven million as compared to the three and one half million now enrolled in 4-H work. DIANE TAYLOR is the new Home Agent for Wasatch County Coun-ty and will also be over the south section of Summit County ' which will be Woodland, Kamas and Park City. Diane is new to extension work and says she enjoys it very much. She graduated grad-uated in 1959, taught school for awhile in Lyman, Wyoming and she was raised in Provo. Welcome Wel-come Diane.
