Thursday, May 20, 1954 E ' Y j ' v' j 4 n, A; WOMEN OF THE MOOSE NOMINATE NEW OFFICERS The nomination for the Women of the Moose officers was held May 14 with Eisie Thomas being nominated for senior regent, Margaret Reid for junior regent, June Wilcox and Gladys Christensen for chaplain, Mrva Shaw and Alice McKinnon for recorder. Voting will take place on June 4th. On Monday, May 17, a large n group of members traveled to in order to give a farewell party for Iris Palmer, who is moving away. Pot luclf dinner was served and a gift was presented to the departee. Keeping the week filled with activities the same group enjoyed a quilting bee at the Moose home on Tuesday and Wednesday. The quilt was donated by the library chairman and is to be raffled off at a later date. All members are urged to attend the convention In Provo on young and old, gathered at the college cafeteria to renew many V acquaintances. The affair initiated commencement activities for the graduation week. Ruth Brasher, banquet chair-ImaiV cleverly carried out the theme of "Save Carbon College by decorating the table with tiny . i figures depicting different types of work done at Carbon. A miniature copy of the school building (was the centerpiece at the head table and the theme was written across it in silver letters.
