The bride left after the ceremony for a visit to the .-vrents of Lieutenant Bates in Boiso. , Idaho has been called upon to furnish fur-nish 4S7 men for the Drst October draft call just issued by Provost Marshal Mar-shal General E. II. Crowder. Stale draft officials have been instructed to draw on class 1 of the 1917 registration registra-tion class first, and' if there are not enough men in class one of that registration, regis-tration, to draw men out of the 1918 class of registrants. The supreme court of Idaho, sitting in this city hearing a number of soutk- orn Idaho cases, yesterday took under advisement an embezzlement case in which former city clerk Dawes of Idaho Falls Is the defendant. It appears thai in 1915 Dawes was indicted by the grand jury for embezzlement of some 5S000 while city clerk, the embezzled funds belong to another department of the city, collected by his office. The defense now argues that Dawes as city clerk had no authority to collect the said funds and therefore cannot be hejd for embezzlement. The money said to have been taken was from tho municipal light fund. County Food Administrator and Mrs. D. W. Standrod departed Saturday for a trip to Camp Blackbury, Virginia, where their son Lieutenant- Drew Standrod is stationed, and who Is soon to depart for duties overseas. Mr. and Mrs. Standrod will be away from the city about two weeks. Hans Flo, for a number of years prominent in business and teaching circles in this city, left Saturday for Salt Lake where ho has accepted a position po-sition in the branch federal reserve bank for the Intermountain region.
