Show AFTER CHASE ACROSS MITHEIT Alleged Swindler Run Down by Man Who Claims to Rave Been Victimized. After searching tho country from ocean to ocean for more than four years past, fioorgo L. Gardner, engaged en-gaged in the lumber business in Seattle, Wash., who is visiting in this city for a few days, ran across CJcorgo Ring-ling, Ring-ling, alias Georgo Coin, alias A. Dor-son, Dor-son, shortly after niiduight Wednesday morning, and caused his arrest, ll'r. Gardner alleges that somo four years ago, in New Orleans, Singling secured money from his (Gardner's) father under false pretenses by forging his name. Gardner also says that .Singling opened his letters whilo tho two wore living together nt a hotel in New Orleans, Or-leans, ana in that wa' secured monoy which had been sent to him from his father. Since that time tho two havo been parted, and .Mr. Gardner says lio has searched for Knigliug from one side of tho .country lo tho other. Mr. Gardner came lo this city several da3s ago, accompanied ac-companied by his wife, and is slaying at the Wilson hotel. It was while going go-ing to their room at tho liotcl that ho camo across Singling. IJingling, ho says, did not know him, but he told his wifo ho wanted to seo a man a minute, and immediately sent for an officer. Singling was arrested on a charge of securing money under false pretenses. |
