Show MASONIC GRAND LODGE IS iEjTlflGJI cm Reports Received Show Order in Utah to Be hi Thrivins; ' Condition. The thirly-oightli annual convention of the grand iodgo of Frco Masons of Utah convened at Masonic temple Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. The convention was opened by "Worthy Grand Master James 11. Brown. After the rollcall of officers and members, to which 100 responded, adjournment was taken to 2 o'clock. At tho afternoon session the grand master delivered his address, which was favorably received. Tho address outlined out-lined tho work of the 3car. and was an able effort. The reports of tho various oflicors were listened to and received with much applause Grand Secretary Christopher Dichl mndo two reports, one as secretary and the other as grand librarian. In the first report Mr. Diehl stated that during tho last year there had been a gain of cighty-onb members within the .jurisdiction, and today tho total number of Masons within tho limits ot the state is luoSl. In his library report Mr. Diehl stated that there is now in tho library 21S7 bound books, all treating on Masonic subjects. It was voted to grant a charter to Orient lodge of Green River, Utah, and not to recpgnizo the grand lodges of fawttzerland, Grocco and Chili. In the evening there was an exemplification exempli-fication of the Master Mason's degrco. and tho third degrco was conferred upon ono candidate. This morning at 10 o'clock there will be a short session, ut which various reports re-ports will be heard. .At '1 o'clock will ako placo the election of officers for he ensuing 3'oar, and in thu evening they will be installed by the rutiring worthy grand master.
