Show LEAGUE BACKER KCnPIIAL LORD CECIL WILL CONFER WITH PRESIDENT ON PROPOSAL TO ENTER WORLD COURT Former President Said to Be Anxious To Get Englishman's Opinion As To Present Views Of People Washington Lord Robert Cecil, reputed re-puted author of the league of nations covenant, came to Washington Friday Fri-day to discuss with Woodrow Wilson, its chief American champion, the campaign for bringing the United States belatedly into the league. Cecil brought with him a cross-section cross-section view of American public opinion opin-ion on the league. In contact with audiences in American cities, Cecil, an avowed missionary for the league in this country, was able to observe the latest American reaction to this Issue. He will be able to give Mr. Wilson his judgment on the probabilities proba-bilities of success for a campaign led by the former president in behalf of 'unconditional and complete American membership in the court. The meeting of the two league enthusiasts en-thusiasts far overshadowed in significance signifi-cance Cecil's meeting with President Harding. The British statesman, arrived ar-rived shortly after noon, and called at once on the president.
