HOLLENBECK Notary Public North of County Court House Duchesne Utah V ant 50-3t- p. er COOPERATION WILL GET US THERE Representative leaders of various communities in Duchesne County have been showing a united front lately which is going to be far from harmful for our future development. Two fine examples of this were evident Wednes day on as many widely separated fronts. The Utah State road commission and the Duchesne County commission were both very favorably impressed at a meeting in Duchesne Wednesday forenoon with the fine representation present and the united front shown in'favor of the best possible improvement prohighway. The road gram on the Bridgeland-Altona- h commission was here for the express purpose of our desires in connection with the use of de-termi- $20,000 recently appropriated ng for secondary highway , improvement here. Many of the delegates present undoubtedly had individual desires which might have rather seen the funds spent on some other road. Roosevelt and Neola citizens are greatly interested in the road between s those two points. Different groups of are just as interested in the highways leading from .Mtn. Home and Tabiona to Duchesne, and still different groups are interested in connecting links between the communities to the north. All of these are necessary roads, but as a monument to good judgment and clear thinking none of these diverting interests were injected into the meeting, and full cooperation was concerted on the best way to use the route. funds available on the Bridgeland-Altona- h to Needless say, this unaimous action was met road commission, and since the disthe by favorably tribution of the funds was left to them to be determined from an engineering and efficiency standpoint we believe we can feel assured of the best results possible and of favorable reception of further road at improvement proposals for Duchesnecounty. Just as satisfying was the spirit manifest at a meeting of the Uintah Basinrianning League at Roosevelt Wednesday evening, at which the League listened to reports on the recently completed land and water surveys on Blue Bench and other sections of the Basin. Agencies cooperating in the studies were represented at the meeting by J. Howard Maug-ha- n of the Resettlement Administration, Professor Preston B. Thomas, agricultural economist at the A. C., Professor David Jennings, Professor of soils at the A.
