Five Win Honors in Christoffersons District Scout Court of Honor Win Prizes Ninety scouts and scouters Powell, Jay Fishing: were in attendance at the Lehi Bone, Leo Ralph Ball and Martin District Scout Court of Honor, Welcker. held last Tuesday, Troop Four Archery: Albert Mitchell. took first place and Troop Five Music: Ralph Powell. took second place honors. Troop Two was in charge. Paul Hardman conducted. The opening prayer was given by Keith Arrive Glover, and colors were posted Webb, Dale Colledge, Bobby Evans and Don Jolley. Mahlon Peck, District Chairman, presented the eagle award to Merlin Russon, scoutmaster of Troop Four. Chairman Peck and W. D. Watkins awarded the merit badges. The next court of honor will be held in the Third ward, with Troop Three in charge, it was announced. The closing prayer was given by Chris Christensen, of merit following awarding badges and advancements as follows: TROOP THREE Public health: Gerald Beal, Cecil Yates, J. H. Hadfield and Glen Hadfield. Firemanship: Gerald Beal and Sterling Merrells Safely In Puerto Rico Lt. Col. Sterling J. Merrell and family have safely arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Mr. and Mrs. John Hutchings learned this week. Sailing from New York, they found the voyage uneventful except for the last two days, when they had some rough sea. They report that they have bananas and coconuts growing in their yard, and that bananas sell for 75 cents a bunch there. The temperature so far is only 90 degrees, but the humidity makes it seem much higher. The entire family are having to learn Spanish, the native langu age. The children are attending school now. Christofferson and sons, took second place in both obstacles and cutting classes. Third place in the cutting classification was won by Nazadda, entered by Dean and Noye. Yatez also took second place in the stock horse class and third place in the western pleasure class. Nikitez, entered by their brother. Rex, of Pleasant Grove, was fifth place winner in the western pleasure division.
