Show BLM calls for Geothermal Bids Nine leasing units -- approximately ap-proximately 16,308 acres in known geothermal resource areas (KGRAs) in Beaver, Iron, Millard, and Sevier counties are being offered x by the Bureau of Land 1 Management for competitive com-petitive bids. All sealed bids must be submitted by 10 a.m., September 27, to BLM, room 1400, University Club Building, 136 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. According to Paul L. Howard, BLM Utah state director, bid opening will be at 10:30 a.m., September Sep-tember 27, in room 1408 of the University Club Building. Three of the units being offered for geothermal leasing are in the Cove Fort- Sulphurdale KGRA of Millard and Beaver counties, coun-ties, three are in the Monroe-Joseph Monroe-Joseph KGRA of Sevier county, two are in the , Thermo Hot Springs KGRA of Beaver county and one is " in the New Castle KGRA of Iron County. The units vary in size from 920 to 2,400 acres. Howard noted that successful suc-cessful bidders will pay, in addition to their bonuses, rental for use of the lands and royalties on the value of steam or any other form of heat or energy derived from production.
