Show WAR MOTHERS PROGRAM A very interesting talk was givn by Mr. D. A. Baxter on the war in general, telling of the important part our boys took how they were called from every vocation in life how swiftly they were trained the enormous amount of war implements that were manufactured how readily read-ily the majority of the people put aside their own interests and did everything in their power to help win the war. He said praise was due the war mothers, but others de-feerved de-feerved praise as well, making special mention of Mr. Armstrong, Mr. Odell and President J. F. Smith, for their loyalty. He also spoke of Mr. Browning, of Ogden, and his splendid splen-did gun, and spoke of the Utah boys. Mrs. Boyd White sang, "Sometime You'll Remember," accompanied by Mrs. W. R. Dobson Mrs. White kind ly responded to an encore. Miss Sims gave' a reading, "My Mother" Mrs. George Atkin, in behalf of Mrs. Yardley, of Beaver, thanked the War Mothers for the loving sympathy extended to her when her son died in the service. ' ' Musical selection by Miss Edna Morrison. Mrs. Wm. Dobson sang, "Till We Meet Again." Three rousing cheers were given Tor Mr. D. A. Baxter. |
