Show American Education Week Schools send Back-to-$diool' invitations Junior high plans night for parents Junior high school teachers teach-ers and PTA have completed plans for Back-to-School Night which will take place of Parents Day this year. November 12, beginning at 7 p.m., has been scheduled sched-uled for the event in the school auditorium. From 7 to 7:30 will be taken up with PTA business and introduction in-troduction of teachers. From 7:30 to 9 p.m. there will be ten minute classes held for parents to visit and which will include all seven periods. per-iods. Teachers will only be able to explain their program pro-gram for the year in this time and will not hold private pri-vate consultations concerning concern-ing students. Parents who wish to meet with student's' teacher may do so by appointment ap-pointment with the instructor instruc-tor at a later date. The week of November 9 to 15 is American Education Week the theme of which is "Better Education . . ,. Your Job." This emphasizes the importance of everyone's interest and support of the schools. By attending Back-to-School Night, parents will be indicating their support and interest in education, officers pointed out. Light refreshments will be served in the library. PTA officers for thi next year include Shirlsy Giles, president; Collette Binks, vice president; DelMoine Christensen, principal, second sec-ond vice president; June Nielson, secretary and treasurer. treas-urer. Chairmen are Janice Hunter, Penny Nielson, Zina Straw, Gloria Murdock, Roberta Ro-berta Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Mays Anderson. SPECIAL INVITATION Leslie Snow displays dis-plays the large note that will be going home to parents inviting them to visit the schools and see some of the fine things that are happening in the education of boys and girls during American Education Week. The observance Is November 9 to 15 and Is themed to "Better Education Your Job." Leslie is in the first grade of the Sage Creek School. Her teacher is Anita Berlin. |
