Show I I CLEARFIELD COURIER, Couple exchanges promises in ceremony ROY The former Miss Jane E. Visser and Bruce B. Johnson were wed Thursday in ceremonies at the Edgewood in Ogden. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Bert H. Visser of 4833 S. 2500 W. The bridegroom of Salt Lake City is a son of the late LDS vows is ROY A bride-to-b- e Miss Laina Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar L., Taylor, who reside at 4864 S. 2075 W. Mr. Black is a graduate of Burley High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Arizona State University. When Mr Holley moved to Roy with his new bride, the area was largly uncultivated land with no paved roads Mr Holleys farm had been a favorite camping ground for the Indians Everytime I plowed my land I turned up Indian Rocks, he said In 1937, Mr Holley was selected to serve on Roys first town board They came to my farm one day and asked me if I would be on the I told them board he reminisced that I would do it only if I could get better water into the area We climbed up into the mountains and found a wonderful spring The water was so cold that it made my teeth freeze and is was so soft that you couldnt wash soap off your hands with it We piped it down and people started coming into Roy to settle and farm because the new water was so iyH , 'A l ?
