Show lead show "T-Bird- s" Thunderbirds is the U.S.. Highlighting this year's Hill AFB air show "Thunderbirds." Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, The team performs June 12 at 2:30 p.m. The Thunderbirds squadron performs precision aerial maneuvers to exhibit the capabilities of modern high-performan- ce aircraft to people throughout the world. The squadron exhibits the professional qualities the Air Force develops in the people who fly, maintain and support these aircraft. They performs no more than 88 air demonstrations each year. Since the unit's inception in 1953, more than 300 million people in all 50 states and 59 foreign countries have witnessed the red, white, and blue jets in more than 3,500 official aerial demonstrations. The Thunderbirds squadron is an Air Combat Command unit comprised of eight pilots (six are demonstration pilots) , four support officers, two civilians and 127 enlisted people performing in more than 27 different career fields. .
