Knroute home they .topped off at Nephi and G-orge, a mi inlper of the Gunnison club, took art in the Gunnisuii-N'eplii game. Miss Ruth Larson was among those attending the lilack Hawk encampment encamp-ment exercises at I'aysori last week. While at lJayson she was a visitor at the home of her brother, Grant Larson. Lar-son. Mr.- and Mrs. William Welsh of Miami, Ariz., have returned to their home. They were called here at the death of Niels Christensen, father to Mrs. Welsh. Claud Sevy, the Sigurd merchant, was here last Friday, combining business with pleasure. He placed a large order for flour with the Her-mansen Her-mansen Roller Mills. Miss Lois Overfelt, who spent a two-weeks vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira' Overfelt, returned to Salt Lake Saturday. Miss Overfelt will resume her work at the Holy Cross hospital until September, when she will be awarded her credentials as a graduate nurse. McMillan and children, i and Mr. and Mrs. Wallen McMillan of j Salt Lake City, were week-end visit-' visit-' ors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. La-vor La-vor Clements. Miss Loraine Sorenson, who was seriously injured in an auto wreck in Twelve Mile canyon June 7, has recovered re-covered from her injuries and recently recent-ly she returned from a three weeks visit with Miss Evelyn Mortensen at Levan. Miss Mortensen accompanied Miss Sorenson home and is spending a week here. Miss Jewel Dalby was a charming hostess at a farewell party at her home in Centerfield, complimentary to Miss Rhea Jackman, who has gon to Ely to make her home. Lawn games, music and a good time were had and at 11:00 Miss Dalby served i dainty luncheon. ; Norman Johnson, local manager for the Telluride Power company, accom- panied by Mrs. Johnson, is on his an-I an-I nual vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson went to Delta and before returning at the end of this week will visit many of the parks of Southern Utah. |
