Sperry started pitching for Nephi, Ne-phi, but soon Ole Boswell, the old war-horse, was placed on the slab. The Gunners took Ole's measure and before he was relieved the Gunnison boys passed seven runs over home plate. The Gunners added four costly errors and these also added to the defeat. Reese, left fielder for Nephi, was in a real hitting mood: This boy hit a homer, three two-baggers and a single, bringing his average to 1.000 during the game. . . Erikscn, Waldo Villard and Fred-riekson Fred-riekson did the pitching for the Gunners Gun-ners and in the second, while Erick-son Erick-son was on the plate, the Nephites passed nine safe scores on home plate.
