Show Tin Garden Reception Honors Newlyweds, Mr. And Mrs. Donald L Mower THE AMERICAN FORK CITIZEN," Thursday, August 4, 1955 Miss Pearl- Thompson and Donald L. Mower were married Wednesday In an impressive ceremony cer-emony performed In the Manti Temple-.-The brM la the daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Thompson. Thomp-son. Mr. Mower is the son of Mrs. Willis Tidwell and Clarence Mower, Mo-wer, Privo. Lewis R. Anderson officiated at the ceremony. Accompanying them to the temple were the groom's mother, parents of the bride, Louise West and Mrs. Russell Thompson, grandmother of the bride. A reception honoring the newlyweds new-lyweds was held that same evening ev-ening in the home and gardens of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Thompson, American Am-erican Fork. A large white satin heart trimmed with pink roses and ribbons formed a background back-ground for the wedding party. Streamers trailed from each side of the heart. The lovely bride was gowned In a ballerina length model of lace over taffeta. The fitted bodice bo-dice featured a sweetheart neck and long sleeves which came to lily points at the wrists. At the bottom of the bouffant skirt was a tulle flounce. He fingertip veil of brides Illusion was caught to a pearllzed crown and she carried car-ried a bouquet of pink roses and white carnations surrounding an orchidrset In a white heartwtth white satin streamers. Jean Day, maid of honor, and Annette Carter, Sherma White and Lana Thompson, bridesmaids, brides-maids, were dressed in princess style, ballerina length gowns of blue taffeta styled with full I skirts and sweetheart necks. I They carried bouquets of pink I carnations and white asters on i pink hearts with pink streamers. Robert Smith performed the duties of best man. Mrs. Thompson, mother of the bride, was gowned in lavendar, and Mrs. Tidwell wore gray silk. They had matching corsages of salmon pink roses. The three"ttered wedding cake, pink and white predominating, was displayed in the garden on a lace covered serving table. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Thompson Thomp-son greeted the guests and Jo- Ann Scholes acted as hostess. Seated at the guest book was Mrs. Ross Nlcholes. Accepting gifts were LaVee Ash and a niece of the groom. i Refreshments were served In the garden at small tables cov ered with pink cloths and cen tered by small bowls of sweet peas and pink and white hearts. Those serving were Barbara Brown, Janet Roberts, Sandra Howa, Aloa' Rogers and Miriam Dav. While the Euests were be ing received Byron Jensen play ed background organ music. Following the reception the newlyweds left for a honeymoon trip of undisclosed destination. For going away the new Mrs. Mower donned a beige suit with avacado accessories.
