Show -Ten, THE AMERICAN FORK CITIZEN, Thursday. August 4, 1955 IT SEEMS TO ME by LeRoy Griffin . weu ioikj, i nave just baa a wonderful experience, going back to school for ten days. My but It Is bard to settle down and study after you have been away from It for so long, especially when you know that there will be a pretty stiff examination the last day of school. When I was driving through some of the small cities, about the size of American Fork, I was Impressed at how clean some of them were. I don't know Whether the cities street cleaning departments do a good Job or whether the citizens are more careful with the they throw from their a little rubbish cars. In looking up and down our main steet I rce an awful lot of empty malt cups and paper napkins nap-kins lying in the street and gutters. gut-ters. Now nearly all cities have these ice cream stands so that they have the same problems. I wonder if it would be possible for all of us to be Just a little more careful about throwing refuse re-fuse from our cars. IT SEEMS TO ME that with all the garbage cans that' the Lions Club has scattered all over town and In nearly all the service ser-vice stations, that it Is up to us as citizens to sec that we throw our empty cups and papers In i the proper places. Let's all try It for a few weeks and see If we can't 3e a difference. Kevin Clyde, 5 pound 14 ounce baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tho-mas Shafter, Is now hanging his blue cap at home.
