Show ALL-STAR BASEBALL TOUR CALLED OFF H. O. Shepard has received a letter from Joe Contillon, manager of the Milwaukee Mil-waukee baseball team, to the effect that the tour of the American and National leagues over the country would not be made. Mr. Contillon says that difficulty was experienced with the managers of the teams belonging to the two leagues, who did not care to let their first-class players sign for the trip, but would allow the second-raters to go. v As the promoters desired an all-star aggregation the negotiations have been called off and there will be no exhibition amrs this fall. They were to have visited Salt Lake next week. |
