The searchers 'would start out on a skirmish line a few yards apart but after going a short distance dis-tance the formation would break and it would be necessary to call a halt and refrom the line. It was impossible to see but a short distance in any direction, and the searchers themselves would lose their bearings. Twenty-two men aided in the search last Saturday, and they had provisions for a week's stay cn the mountains. Four mechanics were salvaging the plane for removal, re-moval, to Cedar City. Souvenir seekers had stolen $5000 worth of parts from the" plane ,it was esti-matedt esti-matedt by Jimmy James.- A dent in the cowling over the cockpit of the plane would indicate, indi-cate, according to Deputy Sheriff Cottam, that Graham had received a hard blow when his plane came to a stop. Splotches of blood were found ' around the cockpit and a bloody handkerchief was discovered discover-ed near the plane. |
