Show SUGAR WORKS AT LEHI. Good Progress Being- Made in the Construction of the Buildings. The big beet sugar mill at Lehi is making good progress in the construction construc-tion of the buildings. The walls of the two b:g brick buildings are up and the roof is being put on. Mr. Dyer goes East in a day or two to look after the shipment of the machinery, which is already constructed at Cleveland, O. This machinery will be forwarded to the best advantage as to freight charges, and may come in entire train-loads, train-loads, since there will be enough of it for several full trains. The seed ordered from Germany and France has arrived, and is being distributed dis-tributed to such farmers as will enter into the business of raisingsugar beets. T. R. Cutler of Lehi has charge of this distribution of seed, while a number of men are employed among the farmers arranging for them to grow the beets, and in giving directions therefor. Arthur Stayner has resignedt he sec retaryship ;of the Utah Sugar Company, Com-pany, and James Jennings has been appointed to the position, Mr. Jennings Jen-nings has had valuable experience in the Deseret National Bank, besides being a young man of correct business principles and of persistent application, applica-tion, and the directors have every confidence con-fidence in him. Mr. Stayner will work for the company's interests in the East. The roof of the factory is being put oh and the machinery is due here in a short time, bo that operations may start up in September. As beets can not be grown all winter at this altitude, al-titude, the mill can run but ninety-days, ninety-days, but it will run all night as well as day, turning out 70,000 pounds of sugar in twenty-four hours.
