' r ?- Because heat rises, it is important to insulate your home from the top down. The attic is usually one of the easiest places to get in and add insulation. Dont forget to add insulation to floors. If you already have insulation, you might save money by adding more, but you will need to get help determining the payback or cost effectiveness of this investment. The payback of additional insulation in the attic would be based on your location, cost of operating your heating system, etc. A worksheet Energy Conservation in Structures is available at your USU Cooperative Extension office. This worksheet can help point you determine the break-eve- n for additional insulation. The local Extension office is located in the downstairs area of the Sevier County Courthouse.
