For some time it has been no secret that the relations between the Denver Den-ver & Rio Grande and the United States Smelting, Refining & Mining company have been rather strained, and that the result might be that the smelting company would take over the Utah railroad and operate It independ. ently to Provo and in connection with tut; nail, jjnrve nuuic ucuuu riuvu. Mr. Apperson returned from the Pacific Pa-cific coast a day or two ago and expects ex-pects to leave for the east today for another conference with officers of the parent company with reference to assuming as-suming the operation of the Utah railroad. |
