Show 'Disease Check May 4 Come From Lamps Control of measles, chickenpox and mumps by installation in class rooms of germ-killing ultra-violet ray lamps developed through Gen-eal Gen-eal Electric research, is being tried on an experimental basis by the the equipment were the Cato-Me-New York State Dept. of Health. Chosen as proving ground for ridian and Port Byron schools of Cayuga county, and the Mexico school, Oswego county. Lamps are made of a special glass which permits the ultra-violet bactericidal wave lenghts to pass through, but the design of the fixtures protects against sun- burn. Data will be kept over a period per-iod of several years. |
