Show DEADLINE SET ON SUGAR APPLICATIONS No sugar applications will be received re-ceived by local war price and rationing ra-tioning boards after Aug. 4, H. Grant Ivins, district director, office of-fice of price administration, announced an-nounced today. "This is the first step in determining deter-mining how much additional canning can-ning sugar may be issued automatically auto-matically to housewives of the six Rocky Mountain states whose allotments al-lotments were curtailed June 15," Mr. Ivins said. No additional application ap-plication will be needed. Additional Addition-al issuance to be made by local boards will be authorized by the OPA regional office in Denver at the earliest possible moment. According to Mrs. Blanch Beal of the local ration office, there were approximately 50 people in Springville whose applications were late and they received but 10 pounds per individual for canning. These people will not be given an Increased quota, but those who were still later, comprising a slightly larger number, may probably prob-ably have their quota increased to 10 pounds per individual, depending depend-ing on the amount of sugar available avail-able for this vicinity. |
