Show RAILROAD NEWS By MRS. G. L. GRIBBLE (Phone 164-J) Mrs. Phyllis Keetch entertained at an eight o'clock luncheon early in the week. The Valentine idea was carried out throughout the luncheon and party favors. Three tables of Monticello Whist were in play. Those present were Mar-jorie Mar-jorie Schramm, Elinore Murdock, Wilma Weston, Grace Brown, Kate McDonald, Edith Cummings, Fay Burbon, Phyllis Workman, Bell Palmer, Morba Brown, Ina Norton, and Hattie Wilkins.. Bell Palmer won first, Marjorie Schram second, sec-ond, Fay Burbon traveling prize and Elinore Murdock consolation. Pfc. James Griffith, son of Mrs. Robert Melton, will be leaving Wednesday, February 13. He has had a 35-day furlough. Afton Mellor, sister of Grant Mellor, and Earl Neilson of Leamington, Leam-ington, were married January 13 in Ely, Nev. After a week's honeymoon hon-eymoon trip they have returned to Milford and are living in one of the Kohler houses. Mr. Neilson is a local fireman. He has recently returned from foreign service. Mrs. Eva Banks entertained her bridge club Wednesday night. Present were Gladys Bird, Kate present were Gladys Bird, Kate McDonald, Margaret Manion, Roma Carlton. Mildred Coon, Garnet Garfield, Gar-field, Phyllis Erickson. Gladys Bird won first prize, Kate McDonald, McDon-ald, second, and Margaret Manion low. The hostess served a late lunch. Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Pitchforth celebrated their twenty-seventh an-, an-, niversary with a family dinner. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Guye spent last week-end in Salt Lake City. Mrs. W. P. Miller entertained her ( bridge olub this week. Those pres- ent were Alverta Goodwin, Lois Brewer, Rae Anderson, Mable Westergaard, Lucille Handley, Rji-mona Rji-mona Gillins and Helen Bracken. Mable Westergaard won first and Helen Bracken low. Mrs. O. R. Smith is leaving today for Salt Lake City to visit with her son. She will return the first of next week. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Walker left Thursday afternoon for an overnight over-night visit in Salt Lake. i Mr. and Mrs. Paul Whitesides have returned from California. Mr. and Mrs. John E. Pace, parents par-ents of Mrs. Whitesides, came with them and are visiting at the White-sides White-sides home. |
