Show MILFORD YOUTH IS 1IFE SCOUT Charles Arnold Baxter, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. Baxter of Milford, was presented a Life Scout award at the last Court of Honor, hejd in Minersville on January Jan-uary 26. Charles first joined the Milford Boy Scout troop in December, 1942. LITE SCOUT Charles Arnold Baxter In April, 1943, he earned his Second Class Scout rating, and advanced to First Class in March, 1944. He became a Star Scout 'on June 8, 1944. His first merit badge, for Handicraft, Handi-craft, was earned in November, 1943, followed by merit badges for First Aid, Cooking and Woodcraft in March of that year, and Painting Paint-ing in May. In 1945 he qualified for merit badges in Athletics and Public Health and Personal Health. In January of this year he received badges for Pioneering and Mechanical Mechan-ical Drawing, making a total of 10 merit badges and qualifying him for the Life Scout award. |
