Show Bennett Tells Of More Funds For Bryce The National Park Service has scheduled $330,700 for expenditure in Bryce Canyon National Park during fiscal 1959, it was disclosed last week by Senator Wallace F. Bennett. The Park Service had requested this amount iru its budget request, and the amount was approved by Congress. The money will be allocated as follows: Water storage and distribution system, $224,000; parking area and visitor center road, $54,000; access roads and circulatory roads, $75,100; em ployee residences, $65,600; gas and oil storage building, $12,000. "I am happy that we were able to get this appropriation through Congress," Senator Bennett said. "I feel that this is an important part of the Mission 66 program, and believe that completion of these buildings and roads will greatly enhance the value of Bryce as a tourist attraction." The funds will be spent during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1958, and ending June 30, 1959. |
