Show SPRINGVILLE WOMAN DIES Mrs. Susan B. Smith of Springville Dies in Provo Monday Morning. Mrs. Susan B. Smith, wife of Herbert Her-bert J. .Smith of Springville, died in Provo Monday morning. Death was due to peritonitis. She was born in London, England, May 30, 1SB7 and has been a resident resi-dent of Springville since 1900. She had always taken an active interest in the religious activities of her ward and had been a Relief Society teacher for a number of years. Mrs. Smith Is survived by her husband, five sons and two daughters, daugh-ters, Herbert W. Smith of Ogden, Raymond J. Smith of Huntington, Claude A. Smith, Sidney T. Smith, Frederick H. Smith, Mrs. Viola Wing and Beatrice Smith of Springville. Spring-ville. She is also survived by three brothers and four sisters. Wni. Bean of Cunibeland, Wye, George Bean of Salt Lake City, Thomas Bean of Knightsville, Mrs. Sadie nenderiekson, Mrs. Lizzie Sutton and Mrs. May Meyerhoffer of Salt Lake City and Mrs. John T. Axton of Washington, D. C. Funeral services were held in the Springville Third ward chapel Wednesday afternoon with Bishop Willis K. Johnsou in charge. The floral offering was profuse. Music consisted of a vocal duet by Elmo Coffman and Mrs. J. H. Stevenson; a vocal solo by Elmo Coffman ; a cello solo by C. H. Chlids; a vocal solo by Miss Jesse Johnson and a selection from the Mapleton male quartet, composed of Carrol and Howard Waters, Leslie Houtz and Glen Holley. The speakers were Patriarch George R. Hill of Logan, Bishop G. R. Maycock, Bishop J. F. Bringhurst and Frank Celeventra. The invocation was offered by John S. Boyer, Sr., and the benediction bene-diction by H. T. Reynolds. Interment was in the Springville City cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Patriarch George R. Hill. |
