Gardner, and Pearl Jaeobson returned last Saturday from a visit to Cedar City. Ex-Bishop Robert Knell of Pinto arrived ar-rived here with John A. Gardner and wife, vrho have been engaged in Temple work at St. George. Brother Knell preached at our Sabbath meeting, his discourse being very instructive. BUXKETIVILLE. Elder Parley S. Hunt returned on Sunday from a two and one-half years mission to the Southern states. William Abbott returned Monday from DeLamar bringing with him his brother, James Abbott, and family. They will remain hero for a few months, at least. On Tuesday a general banquet was served in our lately completed meeting meet-ing house in honor of the return of Elders Arthur Bunker, George W. and Parley S. Hunt. At one o'clock the house was well filled and a very interesting program was carried out; then about two hundred guests partook of the bounties of life, after which responses were made by the Elders and the meeting adjourned until un-til seven p. m. In the evening the o-iipst.s returned to attend a social ball. Several people from the Muddy valley joined us, and numbers attended from Mesquite and Littlefield. Everybody seemed to feel well paid for their attendance, at-tendance, and several of the older people peo-ple were heard to say that it was one of the best "times" ever had in this ward. |
