Show SAIXT JOSEPH. We long to see our fine valley settled set-tled up, and hear the roar of the iron horse. Jerrie Leavitt and wife and Jersey Huntsman, of Gunlock, arc visiting friends here. Pari Black has lost several tons of hay by fire, supposed to have been casued by tramps dropping lighted matches near. It seems as if spring had come. Farmers are getting in their crops, lucerne is growing nicely, and the birds are singing merrily. While Henry Dotson and Dan Adair were running a race the other evening, a cow crossed the race track. Both horses struck the cow, crippling her and throwing both horses and riders. Dotson was some time before he recovered re-covered conciousness, and received such a shock that he is still unable to work. |
