Show SPRINGVILLE TAKES SECOND PLACEIN MEET In one of the most bitterly contested con-tested truck meets ever held in the county. 1'ityson high school came out on too with 47 1-2 points ; Sprinj;vllle placed second with 4(1 points, and Provo scored 37 for third place. The meet was staged in this city last Friday. The other schools finished in the following order: Spanish Fork, 24; Lincoln. 23; Lehi, 19; Nephi, 11; Wasatch high school, 9 1-2; American Fork, 4; Pleasant Grove, 2, The meet developed into a three-cornered three-cornered fight from the first, with Payson, Springville and Provo running run-ning neck and neck in the scoring column. ' Payson gradually accumulated a small lead, which they held until the end. Provo and Springville were tied at 37, with the half-mile relay yet to be run. Payson won this event,, with, Provo, Spanish Fork, Spring ville and Lehi; placing in the order named. However, due to the tenseness tense-ness of the rivalry existing, some unfortunate interference on the part of the runners caused the disqualification disquali-fication of Payson and Provo.
