Miss Nellie Weight, a teacher in the Salt Lake schools, spent Mother's Moth-er's day, which was also her fa I tier's ti-er's birthday, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Weight. Mrs. H. Lee Boyer and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Russell, of Salt Lake, went to N'ephi Sunday to spend Mother's 'day with their mothe'i-, Mrs. II. A. Bailey. Dr. Wallace Mace, of Salt Lake, spent the week-end in Springville. Returns From Mission Bishop William Wainw-right, who has been on a short term mission to the Northwestern states, has returned re-turned home. Mrs. R. W. Cooper and baby, of Tooele, visited Mrs. W. L. Grooms from Saturday until Tuesday. One their return home, Mrs. Grooms accompanied ac-companied them as far as Salt Lake. Mrs. J. N. Deal went to Spanish Fork Friday where she was the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Ben Argyle, who was entertaining her club that; day. Mr. and Mrs. Muck Groesbcck, of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Bert G roes-heck, roes-heck, of Park City, and Miss Helen Groesbeck, of Salt Lake, came to Springville on Mother's day to be with their mother. Mrs. W. J. Groesbcck. Mrs. A. C. Bird and Mr. and Mrs. W. X. Grooms went to Salt Lake last week. Mr. and Mrs. Grooms remained over the week-end and Mrs. Bird stayed to be the guest of her daughters, Mrs. F. W. Goates, and Mrs. Louise Harmon, for a week. Miss Ruth Boyer spent Sunday in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kennedy spent the week-end in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherringlon. .Mrs. R. B. Palfreyman and Mr. J. M. Cherrington attended the opera in Provo Monday night Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Knudsen en-tertained en-tertained at their home Saturday evening for the members of the Saturday afternoon card club and their husbands. Bridge was the diversion di-version of the evening, with Mrs. S. C. Whittaker and Mr. George Russell winning the prizes for high scores. The draw prizes went to Mrs. Wallace Mace and John Mendenhall. Men-denhall. Cards were followed by luncheon. In compliment to Mrs. Lorena Hjorth Day, a recent bride, Mrs. G. R. Maycoek gave a shower at her home Monday evening. Twenty guests enjoyed a program and games, followed by refreshments. Mrs. Alfred Weight entertained at dinner Saturday in honor of her husband, it being his birthday.
