1 WHETSTONE NOT INSANE doctors were unable to declare him of unsound mind abia afternoon a commission on lunacy examined henry whetstone and after completing their dealbera dell bera ions ordered that h be released from custody as the physicians who had charge of the medical examination would not certify that the man was insane evidence was introduced to show that mr whetstone had conducted himself in a manner that would mae it appear that he was not in his right mind but the principal was mr whet stone himself who made an excellent witness in his own behalf he answered without hesitation all questions put to him and gave the history of alsi family for a number of years in a manner that showed a clear mind especial ly was his mind clear as the circumstances that led up to his arrest on two occasions a short while ago athea it was given out that he had gone insane in the face of mr whetstones Whet stones statements and the lack of direct evidence that his conduct had ever been that ot an insane man the doctors refused to adjudge him insane
