Show Alleman Brothers Acid : 15,000 Baby Chicks to ; Their Flock of 5,000 i ft Springville is destined to become one of the leading poultry producing produc-ing centers of the intermo.untain region, in the opinion of Will Alleman Alle-man of this city. Will, with his brothers Clifford and Glenn, are reciving today from California hatcheries 15,000 baby chicks These with the 5,000 they have handled during the past year will give to the Alleman Brothers a Oe-ck of 20,000 birds. This is said to be one of the largest flocks operated op-erated in this section of the state. The Allemans have just completed complet-ed 320 additional feet of buildings containing 38 coops 30x20 feet, ex-i ex-i elusive tf alleys. ' During the past year the Alleman ' Brothers have had a 65 per cent i production, or an average of 57 ; cases of milk white eggs per week. Upon this basis the entire flock ; has shown a bird production of ; from $1.50 to $1.70 per year. Asked what he attributes such J phenomenal success to, Mr. Will Alleman declared that undivided attention to the business of egg ( production was the only thing to j which they could attribute their success. 1 One cannot teach schtfol, clerk in ! a store, farm or do anything else ' and be successful in the poultry business. It requires undivided i time and long hours. Mr. Alleman explains that a flock i of 5,000 birds is scarcely enough to keep three men busy all the time, that is why they are adding 15.000 to their ffcsck this year. That such a flock with careful attention will give the three men much better than an average sal-1 sal-1 ary throughout the year has been j proved during the past experience '. of these men. j They are enthusiastic over the , mccess of the industry, and believe i that there is plenty of room for t r,ther citizens to succeed in the poultry industry, if those who enter will give the business their un-I un-I divided time and attention. |
