Mrs. Ann Farley, Mrs. Bertha Rothwell and Mrs. Will Noakcs and honor guest, Mrs. Wing. Miss Rena Johns of Price is a guest this week at the" home of Mrs. Ainer Chader in this city. Mrs. Sheldon J. Weight of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly Miss Flor- 1 ence Noe of this city, visited dur- j ing the past weu with friends and ! relatives here. j Mi s. Hazel Richardson Taylor, of El Paso, Texas, visited part of last week with her cousins, Mrs. Daisy Kelly, Mrs. T. O. Hutchings, Dell Conver, Wilson Conover and the family of Mrs. Mary Z." Hatfield, also Charles Conover of Payson. Mrs. Taylor had attende'd conference con-ference of the L. D. S. church in Salt Lake City and also visited with relatives in Salt Lake and Ogden. Mrs. Taylor is the daughter of Edmund Ed-mund Richardson, a former Spring-ville Spring-ville man, and is a niece' of Mrs. George Hyde. Charming in every detail was the party given Wednesday evening ' when Mrs. E. E. Knudsen Entertained Enter-tained in compliment to the members mem-bers of the Saturday Afternoon Bridge club. A sumptuous dinner was served early in the evening at the Harrison hotel. Table decorations decora-tions were Ir spring colors of yellow yel-low and green. Miniature daffodils with small green cups were arranged ar-ranged as favors. The centerpiece was in corresponding colors. At the conclusion of dinner guests motored mo-tored to the Knudsen home on Second Sec-ond East street where progressive bridge furnished entertainment during dur-ing the remainder of the evening, prizes being awarded to Mrs. A. G. Johnson, Charles Boyer, and H. T. Reynolds, Jr. Other guests present were: A. G. Johnson. Mrs. H. T. Reynolds, Jr., Mrs. Charles Boyer, Dr. and Mrs. G. G. Neill, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Hansen of Provo and the host and hostess. Honoring her daughter, Merle, whose eighth birthday occurred Saturday, Mrs. John Fletcher eTiter-tained eTiter-tained at a nicely arranged birthday birth-day party for a number of friends at the family home on South Main street. Various games were means of fc'ntertainment supervised by the hostess. Luncheon was served at on long table, the centerpiece consisting con-sisting of a large birthday cake with trimmings In pink and white. Covers were' laid for 14 friends. Mrs. Arthur Wing and two children chil-dren went to Magna Thursday to make their home indefinitely, Mr. Wing is employed there. The date' of meeting of the Ladies Literary club has been changed from Saturday until April 20 at which time Mrs. C. V. Mendenhall will be hostess. A nicely arranged program on fcut appreciation is arranged for the afternoon. Mrs. Harvard Osmund of Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, formerly Miss Melba Condie of this city is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Condie and other relatives here and in Provo. She expects to remain here several weeks. Members of the Service Star Legion Le-gion of this city will be entertained Thursday afternoon, April 18, at the home of Mrs. H. T. Reynolds, Sr. A nicely arranged program, the outstanding feature of which will be a talk on the "New Legisative I Laws of Utah," will be given by ' Paul Reiman of the high school faculty. Refreshments will be served. According to Mrs. Hannah Davis who will be in charge, it is desired that all present members and eligible members be in attendance attend-ance at this me'eting. Mrs. Maurice Pexton and children of Salt Lake City are visiting in Springville with Mrs. J. N. Pexton. Howard McKenzie gave in splendid splen-did manner a revie'w of the book "In the Garden of Allah" in the Third ward M. I. A. Tuesday. The ; Gleaner class of that ward also presented a nature scene' under the direction and supervision of Mrs. Margaret Grooms and Mrs. J. X. Gardner. A large and appreciative audience was in attendance. A large crowd of high school students stu-dents and some from neighboring communities attended the annual "Spring Frolic" given by the Boosters' Boost-ers' club of the local high school Friday evening in the Opera House. Members of the club were distinguished distin-guished by the wearing of gingham frocks during the day. In compiment to Mrs. Margaret "Wing who left Thursday to make her home" in Magna, a number of relatives and neighbors entertained at a party at her home Wednesday evening.
