The ef- Gas Company Reports Higher Earnings in 1980 Mountain Fuel Supply Company says consolidated earnings for 1980 were up compared with 1979. All operations, including utility and posted gains except the Interstate Brick Division of the subsidiary, Entrada Industries Inc., which reported reduced earnings due to the decline in the construction industry in its.' market area. The company noted that although earnings were up, the retail utility operations were still earning below returns authorized by the Utah and Wyoming regulatory authorities. Earnings of the subsidiary Wexpro Company were up substantially due to higher oil prices. Earnings of the subsidiary Mountain Fuel Resources, Inc. were up slightly, and earnings of the subsidiary Entrada Industries Inc., were down. Company and subsidiary earnings on a consolidated basis for 1980 were $30.9 million on gross revenues of $406.2 million. This compares with earnings of $25.5 million on revenues of $334.8 million for 1979. It is different from a Chapter 11 bankruptcy which allows the company to reorganize debt payments. Chapter 7 does not allow for a reorganization. Hart Ski Company filed A Chapter 11 reorganization several months ago.. Chapter 11 is a new federal bankruptcy that provides tougher legal means for companies to collect monies owed them by retailers they supply. Chapter 7 allows the company to be . sold. , Roger Segal, a Salt Lake attorney, has been appointed interim trustee by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Salt Lake City. Segal said the company has received several contacts from potential buyers to acquire the company while it is still a going concern. A buyer would be able to continue business in time to fill filled before June of this year. Scott relies on the for 65 percent of its business.
