Show Free Press - Wednesday, November 17, 1993 - Page 5 Six Eagles named in ceremony Sixboysfrom Lehireceivedtheir Eagle Scout awards at the same time in a Court of Honor on Nov. 7 at the Lehi North Stake Recreation Center. The group, which now spans several wards, was started when the boys were all members of the Lehi 20th Ward. The new Eagles are Jim Rampton, Josh Peck, Casey Hadfield, Jed Colledge, Troy Koltermann, and Tyson Boltz. Jim Rampton from Troop 967 is the son of Jana and Ted Rampton. He is fifteen, a sophomore at Lehi High School. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing football. If asked what the driving force for earning his Eagle was, his answer would be, "My parents have always said, "No Eagle, no driver's license'." For his Eagle project, Jim made volleyball standards for the North Stake Recreation property. He credits outstanding leadership for his successes in scouting. Josh Peck is the son of Ken and Barbara Peck. He is in the eighth grade at Lehi Jr. High School. He is a teacher in the Lehi 20th Ward. He installed a flag pole at the Lehi North Stake Recreation property for his Eagle project. Josh is now one of four Eagle Scouts in his family, being preceded by his father, Ken, and two brothers, Jared and Adam. Casey Arthur Hadfield, 13, is the son ofDennis and Gae Hadfield. For his Eagle project, he, along with several other scouts, painted and lettered the fence at the Lehi Rodeo grounds. Casey is a deacon in the Sego Lily Ward. He is in the eighth grade at Lehi Jr. High, on the Honor Roll, and loves to play all sports. Jed Colledge is in the ninth grade at Lehi Jr. High School. Jed enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, mountain biking, and snowmobiling. He is presently on the Lehi Swim Team. To complete his Eagle requirements, Jed organized and built fences for the Utah National Park Services at Tibblefork. He is the son of Joseph and Jackie Colledge. Troy Koltermann is the son of Ernest and Kathy Koltermann. For his Eagle project he organized a group of young men, and they widened 100 yards of the Great Western Trail from 24 inches to 0 inches. Troy is in the ninth grade at Lehi Jr. High. He enjoys all sports and is presently on the High School Swim Team. He is also on the Jr. High Honor Roll. Tyson Boltz, son of Art and Carrie Boltz, was a member of Troop 120 of the Lehi 20th Ward before moving to the American Fork Hillcrest First Ward. For his Eagle service project, Tyson put in the horseshoe pits at the Lehi North Stake Recreation Center. He is in the ninth grade at Lehi Jr. High. He loves all kinds of sports. This summer his baseball team, the Lehi Twins, won first place and went to the all star games where they placed ninth. He has played football for Lehi for the past three years. Along with sports, Ty enjoys hunting, fishing and biking. A "Meet the Team" night will be held in the main gym with members of the wrestling team. The Booster Club will also recognize members of the boys' cross country team which recently took state.
