Show MAPLETON NEWS The bee hive girls of the Jlaple-ton Jlaple-ton ward M. I. A. spent about four days of this week at Castella. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Richards of Winter Quarters and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jensen spent Friday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Whiting and Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Richards spent two days of this week at Strawberry. Mrs. Eugene Konold has returned to her home in Bingham canyon after visiting a few weeks with Mrs. Emma Halley. , Miss Madge Johnson, Miss Helen Harmer, Arthur Gallop and Ted Whiting were among those who went on the annual moonlight hike up Timpanogos Saturday July 19. Mrs. Dallis Holley is visiting in Bingham for a few days. Lewi's Johnson spent last week at Timpanogos with the Boy Scouts. Mr. and Mrs. William Lee an-nuonce an-nuonce the arrival of a nine pound baby boy bora Wednesday. Myrl, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson, while in Maple canyon with her father last week, jumped across the creek onto a rattle snake. The little girl fortunately for-tunately jumped . away from the fangs of the snake before it had time to strike. The father heard her scream and hurried to the scene in time to kill the snake before it got out of its tracts. Mrs. Elmer Johnson has gone for a few weeks' visit with her husband who along with Hugh Johnson are camped 12 miles east of Fairview, getting out aspen timber for the Excelsior Ex-celsior factory of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Bird of Provo visited Sunday with Mrs. Bird's sister sis-ter Mrs. Leland Johnson. |
