GEORGE dec 6 mr john R walls dear friend my son george was born NOT 21 1893 in st george he joined the army june ot this year he vaa in france august 19 and went to the front sept 13 was there two days he went to the hospital sept 15 and was still there on the ath of november As near as we can learn he was gassed for 21 days he did not know anything and he Is still weak and can not leave the hospital his last address was co B infantry american E F france base hospital he cant tell us much in his letters but be was wounded he left june of this year thanking you I 1 remain your friend samuel C dodge WS S
